Orthodontics

Orthodontist Warsaw

Orthodontics is a field that deals with the prevention and treatment of malocclusion and dental abnormalities.

Orthodontic treatment applies to patients of all ages. Some malocclusions require early orthodontic treatment and are already treated in pre-school age. Basic orthodontic treatment is carried out during late childhood and adolescence. After the end of growth, orthodontic therapy can be successfully performed in adults, but certain restrictions should be taken into account.

The start of orthodontic treatment is preceded by orthodontic examination. After initial consultation and assessment of indications for treatment, the orthodontist performs measurements inside and outside the mouth, takes impressions for diagnostic models, takes photographs of teeth and face, and directs the patient to a pantomogram and cephalometric image.

After analyzing the above-mentioned studies, an orthodontic treatment plan is established, and then it is presented to the patient in writing with a cost estimate.

Types of braces used in the Dental Gallery office:

  • mobile apparatus – acrylic or silicone (trainer); removable and put on by the patient
  • fixed apparatus – traditional (metal or aesthetic) or self-ligating Damon (metal); stuck to the teeth for the time of treatment
  • fixed thick-arch apparatus – permanently attached to the rings or removed and put on by the doctor during check-ups
  • Invisalign camera – a system of almost invisible overlays; removable and put on by the patient

Orthodontic treatment always ends with a retention stage – consolidation of the obtained treatment result. It is an integral part of all orthodontic treatment, necessary to maintain the results obtained.

Out of respect for our patients, we work with the highest quality materials (3M, Ormco, Dentaurum, American Orthodontics, Align Technology) in the Dental Gallery office.
